Puleva
Raise your hand who has not drunk Puleva milk in his life; is the commercial name most associated with this province. Although the pure cow's milk brand was born in 1958, the company that created it had emerged in a commercial premises and soda factory located in a house in Triomf, in 1910. The Central Lechera Granadina was in about to be built after the IES Pare Suárez; in the end it ended in the Camí de Ronda and today in the Vega. The original society was called Unió Vinícola Industrial; it was the result of the union of a handful of merchants and hoteliers from Granada. Over time it grew so much that it became the first dairy group in Spain. Until the Granada company began to die of success and rolled in successive foreign hands in the last quarter of a century. Today Puleva, which was Granada's flagship company, is in the hands of the French Besnier family, owners of the world's leading dairy group.
