Xantal, the Tarragona Denomination of Origin protects the wines made in the Camp de Tarragona and part of the Ribera d'Ebre. It is the oldest designation of origin in Catalonia. Its wines were already appreciated in Roman times and were exported to Rome. In 1932 it obtained a wine protection statute, and in 1976 the designation of origin was established. The packaging of our wines on the floor of our cellar since 1960. The aging process is carried out in American and French oak barrels. Aged wines are made from grapes obtained from the oldest vineyards. The barrel park houses 650 of these between American and French oak.
